About See Shell
See Shell is a mobile swim school offering gentle, one-on-one swimming lessons for babies and children in their own backyard pools. Created by Shelley Lawrence, See Shell brings a calm, child-led approach to water safety, confidence, and skill-building.
Whether you’re just starting out with water play or working toward independent swimming, See Shell supports each child’s pace, needs, and personality – with special care for neurodivergent learners and those who benefit from quieter, trauma-aware environments.
About Shelley
Shelley Lawrence has spent over a decade teaching children how to swim – from infants taking their first splash, to school-aged kids building stroke skills.
She’s known for her warmth, patience, and intuitive way of meeting each child exactly where they are.
With a background in trauma-informed care and personal lived experience with ADHD, Shelley creates a teaching space that is flexible, safe, and empowering. Her neurodivergent-friendly approach helps children feel calm, confident, and in control – making swimming something they look forward to, not tear.
Shelley lives in Fremantle and brings See Shell to families across the area, combining her deep knowledge of swim safety with a belief in body autonomy, playful connection, and lifelong water confidence.
